What Fuels You?

from Transformation Church · host Pastor Joseph Nieves

Bible Text: John 4:27-38 What fuels you? What drives you to keep going each morning when the alarm goes off and that bed feels way too comfortable to leave? What gets you through the daily grind, the endless meetings, the stress of bills, and the pressures of life? What motivates you each morning to do what you do? Maybe you’re fueled by approval – constantly trying to keep people happy, living for the likes, the applause, or the praise. Or maybe you’re driven by the pressure to achieve – to hit the numbers, to make a name for yourself, to prove that you matter. Or perhaps you’re fueled by comparison – scrolling through social media, measuring your worth against someone else’s highlight reel. Or maybe it’s the endless drive for more–more money, more success, more recognition, more stuff, and even more pleasure– the kind of treadmill that never really lets you rest. Our culture is obsessed with pleasure. And then there’s the simple, exhausting fuel of busyness – constantly staying on the move because slowing down means facing deeper, tougher questions about who we really are and what really matters. But here’s the truth: none of these things are built to last. They all burn out. They leave us running on empty.
