What Future Exits Outside Formal Education? (part 2)
from Africa Tech Radio · host www.africatechradio.com
From 6.4 million in 2000 to 14 million in 2021, and if nothing is done, the number will continue to rise and there may come a time when there would be more Nigerian children out of school than there are in school. According to UNICEF, 40 percent of Nigerian children in the North aged between 6 and 11, especially girls, do not attend any primary school. In this episode, a Quality Education Advocate, David Osaghae, and the Humanitarian Manager, ActionAid Nigeria, David Habba, examine the future of the many children whose formal education have been affected by the spate of violence in the Northern region of Nigeria and suggest ways to address them.
