What Happened to Malik After He Knocked on a Stranger's Door?

Malik Polk has vanished leaving behind only unanswered questions. He left his Coweta County, Georgia, home and drove 45 minutes into rural Georgia.  He stopped his car on a sparsely populated dirt road, left his car running and rushed to the back door of a stranger's home trying to open the locked door. Then he fled running into the dense forest and hasn't been seen since.
