What Happens In Vegas...
from Godliness with Contentment Hosted by Keyno Hanna
What indeed? I returned from Las Vegas on Friday after a few days at Cisco Live! That was my 2nd time in Vegas, and both times were with my wife Pam. So, unfortunately for you who may be looking for stories, I don't have any spicy ones to tell. But what happens there? Gambling, and plenty of it. When you get off the plane at the airport, the first thing you see are slot machines. Each hotel has their own share of slots and tables etc.. One thing I noticed was that the room rates were really low, but then it made some sense. The hotel isn't about you enjoying your stay at the room, they want you to spend your money on the floor of the casino. So the remainder of the slogan is 'stays in Vegas'. Your money is what stays in Vegas if gambling is what you are doing. But, I don't gamble, not even for fun. Gambling entices us with get rich quick, yet God's Word tell us in Proverbs 13:11 that he who "..gathers money little by little makes it grow." Are you willing to wait?
