What happens when 'the establishment' tell people that something is 'wrong'?

from The LoveLaois Podcast · host LaoisToday

What happens when those in positions of power and influence tell large groups of people that something they enjoy doing is 'wrong'?That was the topic of conversation on the latest episode of the LoveLaois Podcast. The long awaited Electric Picnic line up was announced a few weeks ago so Steven Miller, Alan Hartnett and Liam Cunningham sat down to discuss it. While going through the acts, the Wolfe Tones and their upcoming appearance on the Main Stage came up. Last year, prior to their performance in the Electric Arena, RTE One presenter Joe Duffy went on his radio show and described their music as 'brutal awful music which glorified violence to make money'.After that, it was estimated that up to 30,000 fans sang along to the Wolfe Tones, the biggest ever crowd to descend on the Electric Arena in the festival’s history.
