What Happens When The Light Shines

Darrell reflects the transformative power of Jesus Christ, as experienced by the Apostle Paul on the road to Damascus. He begins with a personal reflection on his summer, including the passing of his mother and the privilege of preaching at her memorial service. This serves as a backdrop to the main theme: the life-changing encounter with Jesus, leading to eternal life. The sermon highlights five key truths that Paul learned from his encounter: Jesus is alive, Jesus is Lord, Jesus and his followers are inseparably bound, God’s grace, and Jesus' pre-existing hold on Saul. Darrell emphasizes the importance of recognizing and surrendering to Jesus' lordship and grace, urging us to allow the light of Jesus to shine in our lives and transform us.
