What have we done?

This episode is also available as a blog post: https://imnotgoood21blog.wordpress.com/2022/12/04/what-have-we-done/ "What have we done to these people, and what have we done to this land? I open my eyes, and my, oh my, destruction has spilled from these hands. Not of myself, but those akin, a world of darkness, a world of sin To cross the pond, to take, and spill, to harm, humiliate, oppress, and kill. What have we done to these people, and what have we done to this land? Look around, and what is to see? A land of loss, slavery, and pleas The land that was stolen, harvested by blood, to kill the soil, with nowhere left to run. What have we done to these people, and what have we done to this land? When does it end, the urge to take, the urge to possess, the urge to rape? Where is it sought, the road to all peace, it seems to have slipped the minds of the ‘free’ Where is the heart that seeks to control, a land that was pure, for wanting of gold? What have we done for wanting of greed? Where is the heart the mind doesn’t see? What of the people that cannot be found, for wanting of land forced them to the ground? What have we done, our hands painted red, where have we gone when our hearts become dead? …What have we done to these people, and what have we done to this land?"
