What He Must Be: "The Role of a Father" "He Must Be A Christian" Ch. 3 & 4

Happy Thursday folks! Today we dive into chapters 3 and 4 of  Voddie Baucham's What He Must Be: If He Wants To Married My Daughter. Chapter 3 "The Role Of A father", gets into the dad's importance in helping daughters with not only choosing, but in providing and protecting them throughout life. Chapter 4, "He Must Be A Christian" is probably the most important chapter, especially when you're talking about children who claim to be Christians themselves. Far too often we go about choosing our spouses "like we choose houses"..."driving around until we see something that looks good to us", that is a very sad but true commentary on life today. again, this is a dense book which is why we're taking our time. The latter chapters are going to be hard to swallow as we see how we measure up to the "standard". If chapters 1-3 lay the foundation for the book's subject, chapters 4 and on, will surely be the house. Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us... for this week's Book Nook.
