What i did in the cold

I woke up in the snow with dirt in my mouth… and a dead body beside me.At first, I couldn’t remember my own name. I didn’t know where I was, why I was freezing, or why there was blood beneath the man lying next to me in the woods. But as pieces of my memory slowly started coming back, I realized the truth was far worse than being lost.He was my boyfriend.And somewhere in the dark parts of my mind, buried beneath fear and guilt, was the memory of what I did to him that night in the cold.As I retrace our final hours together, the forest begins to feel less empty… and the deeper I remember, the more terrified I become of myself. Because some things should stay forgotten. Some memories should stay buried.
