For I do not do what I want, but I do what I hate." — Romans 7:15St. Paul nails it.We know what sin is. We know it's wrong, bad for us, and damaging to our relationship with God. And yet — we still do it anyway. It's not like we wake up each morning thinking, "Today I'll sever my relationship with God." It's subtler than that. We get lax. We get tempted. We wander. And before we know it, we're somewhere we didn't intend to be.So where does sin lurk in our own lives? Where are we most tempted? It starts with the little things. It's rarely one dramatic fall — it's the small compromises, the small indulgences, the small moments of inattention that lead us down the path. That's where we need to be vigilant. To combat sin, we have to keep our guard up. We have to know where it lurks and see it for what it is. And in those moments — in all moments, really — we call on our Lord and our Lady for the grace to persevere.Let us pray. Lord, help us to see clearly where we are most vulnerable, and give us the grace to stand firm. Our Lady, pray for us. In Jesus' name. Amen.Keep fighting the good fight. Our Lady of Victory, pray for us. Get full access to The Victor's Crown at www.thevictorscrown.com/subscribe
