What I observed in Okinawa, Japan to live a long life of quality.
from Timeless Wisdom · host Nick De Gregorio
I share my experience with my time in Okinawa, Japan. A place best known for its healthy population and longevity. I share my biggest takeaways from my time there; To summarize the episode it came down to three essential factors;- Movement: Okinawa's locals get a lot of steps daily. (I personally was doing an average of 20k steps daily.)- "Stress free lifestyle": Simply defined they embodied an attitude of calmness and intentionality. They weren't rushed in their movement or habits that induce cortisol in the body (over working, excessive phone usage, negative media, lack of sunlight.)-Single ingredient foods found in Nature, eating until 80% full (not over eating) and getting sunlight daily along with fresh air. These factors help with sleep and compound into the overall quality of life.If you got value from the story, rate the podcast or leave a comment as it helps me understand how you're enjoying the episodes.
