As the opera comes to an end, Anakin stares up at Palpatine, who casually claps his hands and smiles at him. The chancellor looks as though nothing is wrong. As if he had not just dropped a bombshell. But efforts to gauge his reaction are in vain as the chancellor suddenly announces that he is tired.He prepares to depart as his speeder is brought up to the front, and Palpatine steps aboard.
