Originally Aired Jul 25, 2025In today's alternate history scenario we ask what if the Samurai Daimyo Blessed Justo Takayama Ukon accepted the offer from the Spanish Governor of the Philippines, Juan de Silva, to conduct a "Crusade" with Spain (and maybe Portugal) of the Tokugawa Shogunate in Japan? Could he survive to see the invasion? Could the Spanish juggle both the Eighty Years' War and a Japanese Crusader King? Would Spain rule Japan directly, or install a new Shogunate, or even restore the Emperor?
