What is a Pastor to do?

What is the biblical responsibility of a pastor? In this episode of Real Truth for Today, Pastor Jeff Schreve examines Peter’s command to “shepherd the flock of God,” explaining that pastors are called to lead, feed, care for, and protect the people entrusted to them. Pastor Jeff discusses why pastors must be willing to speak the truth in love—even when cultural and moral issues are controversial. He explores the role of the church in preserving biblical truth, the importance of protecting believers from spiritual danger, and why Christians must remain faithful to Scripture rather than simply follow the culture. The conversation also addresses salvation, sanctification, and the importance of knowing what Scripture says about eternity. Pastor Jeff cautions against assuming someone is in heaven simply because they were kind, popular, or admired, emphasizing that salvation comes through genuine faith in Jesus Christ.
