What is Catfishing? Have You Been Catfished?

Back in 2005, I was using chatrooms a lot. It was still new and a great opportunity to meet new people. Soon I realized, not everything is what it seems though. People love to come up with stories, they like to portrait themselves as a (much) better version of themselves. People create this avatar purposely which may be completely the opposite of who they are. There are many different reasons why someone would present to be someone else. The person may try to scam you,  may be insecure, or simply wants to troll you. Stay sharp when interacting with others online. Don’t trust anyone so rapidly, and never share your personal information. If you don’t know what catfishing is, check out the video.
