What is Conversion?

from Open House Church Sermons · host KJ Tromp

When violence and division fill the world, prayers for people to change press the deeper issue of what conversion actually involves. God first turns towards sinners in Jesus Christ, then gives them the desire and ability to turn from ruling themselves and trust Him. That turn also joins people to Christ’s church, His flawed body that carries the gospel, where faith includes public confession and shared service. Christians then face the world without naive admiration or despair, sharing Christ’s good news because He rules and is making all things new. Bible Reference: Ephesians 2:14–21 Preacher: KJ Tromp
