What is Cumulative traumatic encephalopathy (CTE)? (EP72)

CTE in brief, is a progressive neurodegenerative condition associated with a history of repetitive head impacts (RHIs) or sub-concussive blows.CTE may be present in individuals with, or without, a substantial concussion history and is most often discussed in the context of contacts sports.Diagnosis of CTE occurs after death when the brain is examined under autopsy.
