What is Embodiment?

from Wander & Weave · host Brooklin C. Buchanan

You can know something… and still not live it.In this episode, I drop the script and speak straight from the moment — because embodiment isn’t about having the perfect outline. It’s about letting your body lead. We explore what it means to move from thought to truth, from performing to being, and from holding it all in… to letting it move through you. Whether it’s a canceled plan, a nervous system flare, or a long-overdue nap — embodiment meets you in the real, raw, everyday moments.Highlights Include:What embodiment actually feels like (and how to spot it in your life) The difference between wanting peace and living like you deserve it Why your body is the messenger and how it speaks through tension, symptoms, or emotions A personal story on choosing rest without guilt and why that’s a radical act A powerful question to bring your future self into today’s choices What are your actions saying about what you value? Embodiment starts with one small choice — to honor your body, your truth, your timing. Let this episode remind you that you already are what you’ve been waiting to become. → Connect with me on Instagram: @brooklincbuchanan

Epics of Rome Dr Rhiannon Evans This subject explores Ancient Roman epic poetry, the literary genre which deals with grand mythical narratives involving heroes, gods, war, and love affairs. Epic was the most prestigious literary form in the ancient world. Roman poets adapted and developed Greek epic, particularly influenced by the Homeric Iliad and Odyssey. Roman epics similarly deal with divine and heroic material, but Roman poets also weave contemporary and topical themes into the mythical subject matter. The primary text for this subject is Ovid's Metamorphoses, which tells many comic tales of the gods in love and encounters between heroes and monsters through a series of transformations. Epics which influenced Ovid will also be studied, such as the Greek epics of Homer, the early Roman epics of Naevius and Ennius, and Virgil's Aeneid, which was the most significant influence on Ovid. We shall also consider Ovid as a major influence upon Western artists and writers, from Shakespeare to David Malouf.
