What is pain and how do you navigate your day with Dr. Jeanette and Dr. Ayu Saraswati

from Wellness Radio with Dr. J · host Dr. Jeanette Gallagher ND

Dr. Jeanette Gallagher welcomes Dr. Ayu Saraswati, author of Scarred: A Feminist Journey Through Pain, to explore what pain is and is not. What is pain? Where is it located? Where did it come from? The process of pain; what are we processing through, and how are we flying through our body while experiencing symptoms of extreme pain of body and mind.We will be sharing today how to clear our slate, lighten our load and color our lenses to navigate this world regardless of our story or experience of pain in the moment of time.Is pain your copilot? What is your suffering? What is the load you are carrying? What is the perception of pain, or something is wrong that is taking your to your knees?Pain a mechanism that we comes into our awareness that something is calling us to see it, feel it, and perhaps make a change in our life. Can you live with chronic pain and illness while still smiling at your day?Living with pain and chronic illness is not asking you to choose one or the other; the smile and maybe say a fake response or the sullen face which shows pain within every cell of your being. What we are proposing is a choice to say I am feeling this today but isn’t it awesome I have the breath of life today.  Maybe it is awesome that I can sing from my wheelchair and engage with memories from the past. Even still, might we share with others your present pain and then say you are sharing as it is part of your experience today, but it is not your identity. Can you allow yourself to shine as the beacon of joy and love as the spirit you are even in the face of experiencing physical or mind symptoms today? You are so much more than the symptoms that are jumping up today and it is awesome to be the soul that you are, no worries, I can see right through to your heart! For more information on Dr. Saraswati visit: www.DrSaraswati.comFor help and support with chronic illness and pain experiences with Dr. Jeanette visit: www.DrJeanetteGallagher.com***Become a member of the Supporters Club to access exclusive conversations, tips, resources, and support from Dr. Jeanette each month.
