What is Palliative Care and When is it Right for You?

A referral to Palliative Care does not mean a physician has given up on a patient, nor is it the same as referring someone to hospice. In this episode of Inside Scope, host Dr. Daniel Haight and Dr. Marines Acevedo Rodriguez discuss palliative care, which can provide relief and improve quality of life for those living with a chronic condition as well as their families. Patients with serious chronic illnesses may be referred to Palliative Care when they experience more pain, loss of appetite, or sleep issues.
