What is positive discipline anyways?

As a new parent I had no idea how to breastfeed, baby proof, or potty train, let alone figure out what type of discipline I'd like to use! As our kiddos grew we knew we wanted to grow as parents too (as much as we loved hearing the word "NO" we wanted some tools that could help guide us).
