What Is Replacement Theology?

Replacement theology, also known as supersessionism, is the theological view that the Christian church has replaced the nation of Israel in God’s plan. According to this perspective, the New Covenant established through Jesus Christ makes the Old Covenant with the Jewish people obsolete.
