What Is Summer Fling

So many of us have had these before! Whether it was a guy you liked in middle school high school or college. We have all had them. But summer flings aren’t limited to people. Some of us have had summer flings with bad habits that become a seasonal cycle. I know growing up being an athlete it was drink and smoke all you want in the summer because once the season comes in drug testing starts. what I am trying to say is summer flings happen all the time. But we tend to take this summer fling mindset with God. Instead of patterning up with God and getting closer to Him in the summer, we cling to the things of this world. Or we say hey I am going to this summer camp to worship God this summer, I will do vacation Bible school this summer. I will be super active this summer with God. But once August comes my fling with Him is over. The reason this theme was chosen was to say hey. We are out with summer flings and in with permanent habits of having a relationship with God
