BRICS, which stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and Saudi Arabia, is now backed by close to 50 countries around the world. According to some economists, if the BRICS continues to establish itself as the dominant player and give the US dollar a severe run for the money as a reserve status currency, then the US stands to lose very quickly, as early as 2024. That's going to hammer the US dollar and increase the gold market demand.
