Hey, I mean, hey girl and you are tuned in to try It's the quickest way to find out what's trending today Today I want to talk about the metaverse. Let's get started You know the metaverse is a very interesting thing and I feel like as time goes on we'll learn more about it We'll be more comfortable with the idea of a world was within a world You know because it's this virtual place within our real world So how that works and how many metaverse is there could be I don't know is that a thing who knows?
I mean because can I make my own world and you come visit me in my metaverse? I don't know maybe I have to name it something else can be the metaverse it had to be the vetivers I don't know just being just wondering here But I read an article about a couple in India who they're the first ones to have their wedding reception in the metaverse Now reading this information They also had the wedding there but undoubtedly somebody beat them to the punch somebody else has already had their wedding there Because they weren't getting credit for that they were getting credit for being the first to have a wedding reception in the metaverse I completely understand their reasoning now if this is the complete reason why I don't know but they were saying they wanted all of their friends and family there and they wanted to find a safe way to do it now You know just sitting here thinking I can also imagine that you wanted to get a little bit of Recognition you want to be seen you want to be noticed by being the first? You know has it ever been done? No because people do zoom weddings, you know So they could have done something like that, but they chose to go that one step further and take it to the metaverse And when I when I tell you I have so many questions Is it just me or does everybody else have a casino one questions about this whole metaverse wedding and reception?
First off is it cost effective? Seriously if having a wedding reception in the metaverse is cheaper than having one in real life Then maybe that's where some couples might want to go to save some coins and then you can have like a down payment on a house or something That means something instead of spending a gazillion dollars on wedding reception Then the other thing about that the location of this wedding in the metaverse was at Hogwarts Castle now for as far as I know The only place in the real world where you can go to Hogwarts is like at one of the Disney properties So you kind of look at that like how much would that have cost? Versus going into the metaverse even though I don't know how much that cost either. Maybe I should do some research on that Then I'm assuming because you're having it where you want to have it then you can decorate it However, you want to decorate it, but then as a guest do I get to pick my outfit and how I do my hair?
Do I get to pick if I've lost ten pounds or? How does that work because in the little seven second clip that I saw all the people attending were gray And then up on the front wall was a video shot of the couple and they look like they were talking at the time But yeah, I don't know if I just want to blend in with everybody else wearing great seriously But then on top of that They were able to have the bride's father there and that was cool because her father is deceased So they had someone create an avatar for her father now The question is did the person that created the avatar did they then control the avatar and do things that they think that her father would do? I don't know this it's kind of tricky there and then Just how do you keep other people from crashing your wedding not realizing that there was a wedding there? Like what if I happen to go into the metaverse to go to Hogwarts Castle just to kind of hang out for the day And I walk up in there and there's a wedding reception going on How do you stop people from doing that or is it like multiple metaverses and in each one?
There's a Hogwarts Castle, so I can have this one all to myself and then they can go to another one and have their wedding reception I'm telling you I have a good zillion questions The biggest question of them all is If my husband had said back before we got married if the metaverse existed if he said hey vet How about if we get married and have our wedding reception in the metaverse? What would I've said? Honestly, I don't know that I have an answer for that because I think it depends if it was a COVID situation like what we have going on now Then sure as long as we get to have an actual event when things get better I sit and I think about what our wedding and reception is like and one other thing I wonder can you videotape the wedding and reception in the metaverse because we have video from our wedding and reception and every you know We didn't do it this year, but every year pretty much we watch the video from our wedding and reception on our anniversary and I think that would be one of the things that for me I would need to have the guarantee that we would be able to do something further on down the line Even if it's just a party for everybody to come to and have a good time I would need to have something because I'd want some type of memories other than a screenshot in the metaverse I don't know is that is that bad? I don't think so.
I mean memories are a good thing Right and although you can sit and think about how it was and what it was like and you know reminisce together I think there's something special about having the opportunity to actually watch it because it's almost like you're there But in this case because you're there where the cameraman is it's like you're there at the wedding watching yourself get married That's pretty cool feeling So having said all of that I don't know if I would have been down to do a metaverse wedding for no reason Other than I guess maybe to save money and I probably would have done that no I wouldn't have done that I just would have pinched pennies and made a budget and stuck to it like what we did basically But in a COVID situation sure we can do that just along as when things get better.
