What Is the New Covenant? | The Well Podcast S1E13

In this episode of The Well podcast, Pastor Phil, Pastor Chad, and host Les Norman discuss the New Covenant. A covenant is binding, unbreakable, and irrevocable. In God’s covenant, we are saved by grace through faith. We don’t have to do anything. We are declared righteous before God if we believe in Him and surrender our lives to Him. In Hebrews 8, the author clarifies the main point of his letter. He wants people to understand why Jesus is a better High Priest and the freedom of the New Covenant. Jesus’ sacrifice atoned for all our sins. His grace is greater than anything we could ever imagine. Under the Old Covenant, God’s Spirit dwelt in the Tabernacle. Under the New Covenant, believers are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. When you believe in Jesus and make Him Lord of your life, your body becomes a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. You have peace, joy, and freedom like never before, but you also have a responsibility to represent Him and steward the gift of your body well.
