What is the Socratic Method?

In modern society, ignorance of the Socratic Method has led to two crises. First, fake classical education has used the name to falsely advertise their books and schools, giving parents a false sense that their children are receiving benefits they are not. Second, false dilemmas lead modern society into innumerable divisions which lead only to confusion, anger and, in some cases, violence.
