What is the truth?

from Last Days Hosted by Steve Jones

That is certainly the question of the day. What is truth? That’s what Pilate said to Jesus before he released him to the mob to be crucified. What is truth? Jesus didn’t answer. Pilate was asking philosophically and rhetorically as if to say “what do You have to offer the people in this day of chaos and pandemonium? If he only knew, truth is not a teaching but truth is a Person. The Person standing right in front of him was the embodiment of truth.. -John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. -John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. -John 1:28 No one has seen God at any time; the only-begotten Son, who is (continuously pressing)into the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. -I John 1:1-3 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. -Eph 4:20-21 But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, as the truth is in Jesus." -John 4:24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth. -John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free For help on finding Christ contact me: Email steve.jones@ccofqc. org Telegram https://t.me/gstevenjones Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000457181803

Lewis's The Last Battle St. Philip's Church: Charleston, SC Come join us on Wednesday nights as we explore the riches of C.S. Lewis’s marvelous book The Last Battle, which is the last of The Chronicles of Narnia. It is a remarkable book on multiple levels and was awarded the Carnegie Medal back in the 1950s when it was first published. The Last Battle has some themes in common with The Great Divorce and That Hideous Strength that will make it an excellent follow-up to those two books, and like them, it has some remarkable resonance with things going on in today’s culture. It is a book that is both theologically rich and poignantly beautiful in its writing, and it can help equip us to live boldly for Christ in a culture that has lost its way. (Although this book is the last of The Chronicles of Narnia, it can stand on its own and it is not necessary to have read the other books for this class.)
