This episode, “Mentoring--What It Means to Mentor and Be Mentored in Toastmasters” is presented by Theresa Lauderback with her guest David Whitner.  David is a veteran Toastmaster of nearly 18 years.  He has achieved DTM and held almost every officer position including Division Governor of District 22.  Currently, he is serving as an area director. David has utilized mentoring throughout his Toastmasters journey.  In this episode he shares his expertise and provides words of wisdom to encourage fellow Toastmasters.  David summarizes the meaning of mentoring as, “A coach guides you to a job, a mentor guides you to a career.”   Podcast Pioneers is an advanced Toastmaster club in District 46 devoted to sharing stories with the public and in Season 1, 23 members recorded episodes about effects of Covid 19.
