What Kind of Liberal Are You?

We invited Martin Freedman one more time to talk about the different kinds of liberalism that exist. We clarified what "neoliberalism" actually means and how capital, neoliberalism and globalisation all require the presence of a strong State to expand and create more consumers worldwide. We noted the role Edward Bernays played in the creation of mass consumption and multinationals and discussed if mass democracy is an enemy of capital and neoliberalism or if it is in fact the other way round. Finally, we noted why capitalism and neoliberalism -as we know them nowadays and appear to dominate our lives- might have their days counted.
