There are others who want to flip the table over and demand we play a different game. There are some who insist that everyone should have a chance to enter the race. There are others who go further and insist that everyone should at least have running shoes and get to start at the same time. But maybe, just maybe, we shouldn’t set life up as a game where there are winners and losers. Maybe we shouldn’t treat life as a race where a handful of winners get a medal and the rest get nothing at all. We need to think very carefully about what kind of progress we want.
