What Leads to an INFP Getting Angry?

from Geek Psychology: Play Life Better

Send me a textThe main cause of an INFP getting angry is when they feel that their values are being violated. They are usually very patient people who are not quick to anger, but when they do get angry, it is usually because of something that has really hurt them in some way.Sound familiar? \"I'm an INFP and I'm feeling a strong emotion right now. It's anger. It's a really tough situation, but I know that I shouldn't let my anger get the best of me, because 1) it'll make me evil, and 2) it will only make things worse than they already are. That's why I need to stop and think before I do anything rash. Before I do anything, I need to understand why my anger is so high and find a way to calm down.\"And something else to think about, the paradox of rage is that it can be connected to sadness and depression or emotions that haven't been expressed. Underneath that anger is often one of those issues but they're misunderstood or taken at the level of anger. This leads to a build up of anger, which is manifested in the form of rage or outbursts when values are offended.Although INFPs don't usually express these struggles - especially a male INFP due to societal expectations, I'd say that one of the strengths of our personality type (within the Myers-Briggs 16 personalities), is that we have access to these emotions! If you treat them as strengths and build better relationships with those feelings that triggered your stress, then you'll end up living a better life.Treat each of the emotions as a friend giving you tips on how to live a better life. Not just once, but for all of the rest of the time you have on this weird planet. Never dismiss them. Transmute them if you must into better serving emotions, but don't repress them or push them down into your shadow. They're very important - even anger.Original video: https://youtu.be/nVZBMeNVEiU****Connect and Support Geek Psychology #geekpsychology ****FREE 8 Hero Personality Assessment: https://geekpsychology.com/ Support the Show.
