What Makes Sexuality Sacred?

I view sex as a sacred act. In today's society, sacredness has been taken out of sexuality. It is thrown around as if there is no consequences for actions we take.. What I have learned, no matter what action you take.. there is always always some sort of consequence. Sexuality is in need of great responsibility because it can reign over someones life if not handled maturely and responsibility.  This is also true as drugs, alcohol.. it is more about who is doing these things with what intentions.  Ancient wisdom has shown us sexuality is a great ritual for our lives and future generation.. it is not just a simple consequence-less act.
