Michigan and Ohio State are the two best football programs in the Big Ten, and they are a part of the few elite College Football programs (the others being Alabama, Georgia, and maybe Texas in my opinion). Jim Harbaugh and Ryan Day don't just command elite teams, but they also have awesome coaches and a plethora of resources. Both the Wolverines and the Buckeyes need to stay comfortable in their identity heading into the future, but they also need to use the transfer portal to make up for roster losses. I think Michigan Football will need to use the portal to fill most positions, and Ohio State should target a quarterback to replace Kyle McCord. Michigan winning a National Title would help them to recruit better players that will contribute to their future success, and Ohio State bringing back key NFL stars would help their chances of winning the Big Ten next year and in the long run as well.
