What Nintendo Hard Can Teach You About Achieving Goals

from Geek Psychology: Play Life Better

Send me a textIf you're struggling with getting your life on track, maybe you feel like it's Nintendo Hard: you're stuck in an Excuse Plot, and there are pitfalls everywhere ready to send you to your doom if you're not careful enough. There are plenty of enemies out there waiting for you, and they'll do everything they can to attack you before the end of the level so that you have to face them all again next time. But that doesn't have to be discouraging. If you've ever played a Nintendo game like Battletoads or a modern \"Nintendo Hard\" game like Dark Souls, then you know what it means to face a challenge that seems impossible. If you've beaten one of those challenges, then you know exactly what you need to do to achieve your goals.I believe Nintendo Hard games are more than just games; they're teachers. They teach us about ourselves and give us new ways to look at our own lives. And once we learn those lessons and apply them to our lives, we can accomplish anything we set out to do.All you need is the right mindset. In this episode, we're going to look at how our world might be if we approached our goals in the same way we approach beating a video game boss that seems impossible. We'll talk about the \"MSR Settings\" and by the end of this, you may start to see your life more like a video game-full of bosses and challenges that seem impossible, but are actually winnable with the right mindset and plan.Check out TV Tropes for more: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NintendoHard*****Connect and Support Geek Psychology #geekpsychology *****Support here: www.patreon.com/geekpsychologyAll Social Links: http://bio.geekpsychology.comCourses: http://courses.geekpsychology.comGeeky personal development merch based on MBTI 16 personalities: http://loot.geekpsychology.comwww.geekpsychology.com (Join the community of like-minded geeks and gamers who want to play life better: https://community.geekpsychology.com)www.inowfeelpositive.com (INFP only safe place and community with Discord)*****WANT TO BE COACHED BY ME?*******Connect and Support Geek Psychology #geekpsychology ****FREE 8 Hero Personality Assessment: https://geekpsychology.com/ Support the Show.
