What should you do when podcasting? What should you NOT do? What should you avoid? 
1) Don't feel the need to introduce every topic! Sometimes just tell people what you want to tell them. Instead of getting them ready by telling them what you are ABOUT to tell them! 
2) Save time. Be Brief. Be concise. Respect your time and the time of your listeners. Expect that most people are busy and don't want to hear you talk for an hour or more! 
3) Don't ramble. 
4) Have a plan/outline and stick to it. Listeners will appreciate a focussed approach to topics. 


What should you do? 
1) Have fun 
2) Be interesting and be passionate. If you ARE passionate about topics that you speak about, that comes through to your audience and you will be rewarded for that. 
3) Provide value. Give people a reason to listen. 
4) Be a good communicator. Don't suddenly stop publishing episodes with no explanation to your audience (I did this and it was a mistake on my part) 
5) Be human and admit if you are wrong. You don't need to be perfect or get everything correct the first time. Engage your audience. Invite them "in." Invite participation.
