WHAT OUR KIDS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT HOW WE'RE DOING AS DADS.

from THINGS MEN DON'T TALK ABOUT W/BRAD PERRY · host CRIMINAL MINDED MEDIA

Make no mistake, regardless of the pride, joy and amazement that being a Father can offer, the one certainty all Dads share is — it’s a job! As Fathers, we do the best for our children that we can.  We want to protect them; give them all the opportunities and resources we didn’t get from our Dads.  We don’t always get it right, but as men Goddamit, we’re determined to CRUSH THIS ROLE! The irony of course is we never really know if we are doing a good job. We have no yardstick for success as every child is different, so there really is no proven play book to go by. Because we believe we must be tough, strong and have every answer for our children, men would never think to do the most obvious thing to gauge how they’re doing as Dads — ASK OUR KIDS WHAT THEY THINK.  So, for this this episode, I opened the proverbial Pandora’s Box and did just that — I talk my children about how they feel I am doing as a Dad. I will say the talk surprised me and might just surprise you too!
