What power does a mindset have over me? This is the daily disturbance podcast with Anthony Omedina. So I'm conducting the sales seminar for this company. And the top sales person at one point can't stand it and stands up and complain.

And laments, the problem with this institution is that every time we reach the sales target is that they raise it the next month and the next quarter. You know, I saw a mindset that I decided to go on with. Why not ask management, therefore? I responded.

To keep your targets just for you at the same level for the rest of the quarters of this year. And immediately she complained again. Are you telling me that I cannot accomplish the race targets? What a mindset.

What a thought process. And how? I thought processes formed. Well, we've discussed this before, but let's get into a little more depth here.

So ideas come from everywhere. That's step number one. It could come from your boss, your spouse, your kids, the internet, social media, quite a lot of sources today, more than ever before. And your mindset will either welcome these ideas or reject them.

Depending on what, depending on your values, depending on your background, sometimes of which you're not even conscious of, or your present mood, right? Your feelings at the moment. And so when ideas are welcomed, they become your thoughts. So suddenly, your thought process has welcomed the idea that this person is not to be trusted.

That particular vaccine is to be rejected. This place should be avoided, right? Ideas are not your thoughts. Only when they are allowed to enter your mind as dictated by your mindset, do they become your thoughts?

And those thoughts lead to feelings. I'm happy. I'm sad. I'm really mad.

And those feelings, so ideas, thoughts, feelings lead to actions. I will not act. Or I will react. I'll go for it, right?

And eventually, you will see that it's all good, bad, ugly. Ideas, because of the mindset, are either rejected or they're welcomed as thoughts, which leads to feelings, actions and results. The key is the mindset of what ideas it will welcome or reject. What is your mindset at the moment?

Are you a half glass empty, right? Or half full sort of person? Even as we speak today, as a man thinketh, so is he. George Bernard Shaw, those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.

Take note, though, studies will show 70,000 ladies over a span of a couple of years. The positive thinker is not only happier, but the positive thinker is also healthier. Negative thinkers have significantly higher cases of heart disease, of cancer, of early death. Positive thinkers have lower cases of depression, and they have a higher quality and a longer life.

Give it some thought. Reprogram your mind, improve your mindset today. You have the choice. The tragedy of life, Thumbs Carlyle, reminds us, is not so much what men suffer, but rather what they miss.
