What Really Happened to Andy? The Hunt for Answers

from Codega's Codex of Curiosities · host Rye

Rye is joined by a panel of fellow paranormal podcasters, Graham from Grimerica, Bennett from Broadcasting Seeds, and Brad from the Awakened Podcast, to revisit one of the strangest guest stories from the show's early episodes. The group replays and breaks down Andy's account of a summer spent working as a night auditor near the Soaring Eagle Casino in Michigan, where he was dog sitting alone in a trailer bordering an empty field. Andy describes weeks of disturbing dreams and unexplained scratches before the night everything came to a head: a door bursting open during a storm, the family dog vanishing into the dark, and Andy waking up on the ground after being knocked flat by something he never saw in an open field with no trees anywhere nearby. The four hosts weigh in with their own theories on what really happened that night. In This Episode•      Rye brings together three fellow paranormal podcasters, Graeme from Grim America, Bennett from Broadcasting Seeds, and Brad from the Awaken Podcast, for a panel revisit of a guest story that's stuck with him since one of his earliest episodes. Each host gives a quick shout out to their own shows and current projects before the group settles in to replay and react to the original interview together.  •      The story centers on Andy, who at the time was a student at Central Michigan University working a summer job as the overnight auditor at a hotel near the Soaring Eagle Casino. With the dorms cleared out for summer and nowhere to live, Andy arranged to stay alone in a trailer bordering an empty field in exchange for watching a neighbor's elderly golden retriever, Chief.  •      In the weeks leading up to the main incident, Andy describes increasingly unsettling dreams about being chased through the trees behind the trailer, along with unexplained scratches and irritated, puffy marks appearing on his skin that he couldn't attribute to the couch he was sleeping on.  •      On the night everything escalated, Andy was in the shower during a heavy storm when he heard a loud crash. He came out to find the trailer's already flimsy front door banging open in the wind, and Chief nowhere to be found inside. He threw on clothes, grabbed a flashlight, and ran outside into the storm, able to track the dog's location only by the distinct sound of the bell on his collar somewhere out in the dark, treeless field behind the trailer.  •      While running full speed toward the sound of the bell, Andy was suddenly knocked flat by something he never saw or heard coming, hard enough to split his nose and cut up his face, in a stretch of open field he confirms has no trees or obstacles of any kind. He has no idea how long he was on the ground before waking up in the rain.  •      When Andy finally made it back to the trailer, the bell sound and the dog were both gone from the field, but Chief was sitting calmly on his dog bed inside, completely dry, without a single drop of rain on him, despite the storm still going on outside and despite the trailer having been thoroughly searched and found empty just minutes earlier.  •      The panel spends the rest of the episode reacting to the story in real time and offering their own theories on what might have physically or paranormally knocked Andy down in an open field, and how the dog could possibly have ended up back inside, bone dry, without ever being seen coming or going.  Best Line of the Night "The dog doesn't have a drop of water on him." Andy, describing the moment he found Chief back inside, completely dry, despite the storm outside.Panelists Can Be Found Tonight's panel featured three fellow paranormal podcast hosts, each with their own shows and projects.Graham, Grimerica: www.grimerica.caBennett, Broadcasting Seeds: bennetttonbooks.com, also on YouTube and everywhere podcasts are foundBrad, the Awaken Podcast: www.awakenedpodcast.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/codega-s-codex-of-curiosities--6244705/support.📬Inquiries: [email protected]📺 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channe...💻Website: www.codegascodex.com📲Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/groups/ccofcuriosities🤳Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/codex.of.curiosities/Support the Show!🛒Codega's Store: https://codegas-bodega-shop.fourthwall.com/🎙Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Codega...📦Amazon: https://www.amazon.com.mx/hz/w...Disclaimer:Neither The Host (Rye Voss) nor the podcast (Codega's Codex of Curiosities) are responsible for the views and opinions of any of the guests.* All claims made by individual guests are at their own discretion and may not reflect on the overall views of Codega's Codex of Curiosities or Rye Voss
