What Shall We Do?

from The DCC Podcast · host Dayspring Christian Center

On this Resurrection Sunday, Bishop P. O. Rodgers teaches from Acts 2:36-39. After Peter gave his sermon to the house of Israel, the men were cut to the heart and asked the question "what shall we do." When we hear a word from God, it should cause us to ask the same question. The question leads to a change. The change must take place in the heart first.  Repentance must involve both a change of mind and a change of action. If we change because of fear it is not a real change. Forgiveness does not abolish the consequences of what we have done but it puts us in right standing with God. Baptism is a sign of repentance and a changed heart -- an external, nonverbal expression or celebration of an inward reality. Baptism is the visible proof of repentance and commitment to follow Jesus. Real repentance makes us realize we cannot save ourselves. Repentance helps us get over our past and prepares us for our future. May this word cause you to make a heart change today. Be bless and have a safe week. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family.
