What should we do when life stinks?

How should we respond when we face difficult times?   Luke 13:6-9  A man had a fig tree planted in a vineyard, and one day he came seeking fruit, but found none. So, he says to the vine-dresser; “For three years I’ve come seeking fruit from this tree and I’ve found none. Cut it down. Why should it keep using up ground?” But the vinedresser responds and says: “Sir, leave it alone for one more year, until I dig around it and put on some manure. Then, if it bears fruit next year, it’s all well and good. But if not, you can cut it down then.” Simple. Authentic. Jesus. Prairiebible.org
