What SHOULD We Look Like? | Body Dysmorphia | Coffee Break Podcast (Episode 21)

from Coffee Break Podcast · host Coffee Break Podcast

WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER EPISODE OF THE COFFEE BREAK PODCAST! In todays episode, Slim and Jama sit down and discuss body dysmorphia. We both describe personal issues that we go through with our appearances and thought processes. Slim introduces the different types of body dysmorphia issues such as Colorism and Weight/Height issues, as well as the mental challenges people face with their own appearances. Social media being a highlight reel of our lives is a true reason why some of us feel dissatisfied with their own lives. Jama brings up the face that most of us look to what we consider is the "standard" look, but also describes that since we are all different sizes and colors we cannot all follow the same beauty standard. In essence, we acknowledge that loving ourselves helps us in the end and our personal battles with our appearances will vary as life continues. We'd love to hear your opinions in the comments section below. Thank you all and see you again in the next episode.
