Zaakirah Nayyar Muhammad is a retinoblastoma survivor, brand strategist, and TEDx speaker whose life was shaped by a diagnosis caught in a photograph at six months old and surgery at nine months old that removed her right eye. She traces how being introduced to a camera as a child became direction, from learning it instinctively to studying commercial photography and continuing that work through international travel, documentary production, and teaching photography in Kenya.
