Is it a song of complaint and bitterness—a constant focus on your problems? Is it a song of self-sufficiency—boasting in what you have accomplished? Is it a song of silence—refusing to acknowledge what God has done? David’s song was a song of God’s faithfulness. His life was a testimony to the power, mercy, and deliverance of God. If someone were to listen to the way you live, the way you speak, the way you react to struggles—what would they hear? Would they hear a song of trust, of gratitude, of faith? Or would they hear a song of worry, fear, and doubt? David’s life pointed to the grace and goodness of God.
