What the Epstein Files Reveal About Power?
from Rev Dan · host Rev Dan
The renewed attention around the Epstein files has forced many people to confront a deeply uncomfortable reality. The allegations are serious, the suffering behind them is real, and the questions they raise about power, influence, and accountability are not easy to answer. In this podcast I step back from the noise and speculation to think carefully about what scandals like this reveal about the nature of power itself. Scripture has never been naïve about the human heart. From Genesis to the New Testament the Bible repeatedly warns that influence without accountability can distort judgment, conceal wrongdoing, and gradually reshape how people see themselves and others. But the Christian response cannot be outrage alone. The Kingdom of Christ presents a radically different vision of authority. Where worldly power seeks insulation and protection, Christ reveals authority through truth, humility, and sacrificial leadership. As Christians we must resist both cynicism and spectacle. Instead we are called to pursue accountability, protect the vulnerable, examine our own communities honestly, and remember that every earthly system will ultimately answer to the risen King.
