Week after week the news brings brutal reminders of the reality that God's word describes: "the days are evil." We could talk about ways we see this and why it is, but our hearts already sag under the weight of it all. More important for us is what God's word tells us to do in the midst of evil days. If humanity is fallen, society is broken and culture is decayed, what are we Christians to do? The desperate world around us needs to see the life of Jesus - and that is God's calling for us. This week's passage, Ephesians 5:15-21, will challenge us to lay aside things that matter less and seek to live more fully in the new life and greater purpose God has given us in Jesus.
