What was the UK Number 1 in January 1984?

A slightly different episode of Can’t Find My Way Home for you. A week or so ago, I saw this Top 30 chart on a Facebook group. Saved it, then went back and took a closer look at it later on. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the chart itself was a crock. It stated that it was the Charts from the first week of January 1984, and my inner-nerdy muso self, thought that this just didn’t look right. And guess what? I was right. So, I went online and found the official UK Singles chart for the first week of January 1984, and put a little something together with my own thoughts and memories …you know. It’s not a reaction video, more like a recollection of what I can remember from the charts, and there’s plenty that I really don’t remember. And some for good reason.
