What we can learn from artists

Artists aren't afraid to add to their canvases, we shouldn't be either. We can start with a canvas on any aspect of our life and make adjustments at any time just like artists do. The only constant in life is change. We can change the shading, the colors, the proportions, even the people in our lives ... just hold on to core principles of who we are. My father told me years ago, "hold onto unchanging principles in changing times." I think artists accept that and just like spring brings fresh starts every year, so too can we bring fresh canvases to our lives at any time.
