What went right/wrong in Arizona State Sun Devils football's humbling loss to Texas Tech Red Raiders

It wasn't the way the Arizona State Sun Devils football team wanted to start their tenure in the Big 12 Conference following a loss to the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Lubbock. After all, the Sun Devils were riding a 3-0 start into the game with their confidence high and a belief that they could beat anyone. Unfortunately, they were served some good old-fashioned humble pie by the Red Raiders and found themselves on the wrong side of a frustrating loss. The Sun Devils were outplayed by Texas Tech on offense and defense but certainly did themselves no favors with dumb penalties (even in a ref show) that only made things more difficult for the team to get back into a game they fell behind early in. There was a lot that went wrong for Arizona State Sun Devils football in the loss, but there was still plenty of good to take away from this game. Cameron Skatteboo is still a rockstar, and the defense made quick adjustments to slow down the Red Raiders before they could get rolling. Unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good here and the Sun Devils enter their bye week on a low note as they look in the mirror and figure out what to fix first.
