What will Emergency Management Look Like Under Biden

We have a lot of changes happening in the world today. The United States has a new President and a new direction. President Biden has stated that COVID-19 will be handled by FEMA  and a few additional federal agencies. Kelly McKinney the Author of Moment of Truth and long-time emergency manager joins us to discuss what the future may hold for emergency management, FEMA,  and more.  President Joe Biden has started his first week in office leaning on the Federal Emergency Management Agency giving them a  major role in his administration. Biden has nominated New York City Emergency Management Commissioner Deanne Criswell an emergency management leader who has been widely praised for her experience with hurricanes, wildfires, and pandemics. If confirmed this marks the first time a woman has been selected to lead FEMA since its creation in 1979.
